The Baker
What started as a hobby for Nosisa over 12 years ago, grew into a passion, which ultimately shaped her into an inquisitive baker who is constantly looking for newer and better ways of baking.
This self-taught artistry was enhanced into proper baking skills through lessons and practical training in baking schools at Mondeor, Johannesburg South (Gauteng).
Nosisa started selling biscuits from home to friends and family, and her passion for baking burns till this day!
Our Story
As the circle of customers grew bigger with their insatiable appetite for home baked treats, the family decided to invest in larger baking equipment to cater for the increasing demand, and then registered a bakery shop in December 2016. Tax registration number: 2016/504630/07, Reference number: 9357763185
The bakery shop started trading at 185 Panorama Road, Rooihuiskraal, Centurion from May 2017.
The bakery name, The SconeMadame’ – “Pronounced in the French language”
Why “The SconeMadame”?
Scones are the Madame’s (The Baker) signature and hero bake. After tasting scones from different shops around Johannesburg and Pretoria, including those offered in premium, popular and successful bakeries, the Madame’ was not satisfied with all of them. She believed that she could come up with a unique recipe for scones that will bring out a distinct treat for her customers. We are a 100% family owned and operated boutique bakery specializing in Scones, Biscuits, Cookies and Wedding cakes – we do singles and bulk orders.
